Because I was getting hammered by Chinese and Russian spammers abusing the open registration system. I don't need or want to deal with that, so I closed it.

Yes, it is indeed epic. I've been searching Japanese websites since before Kokuyosya was popular. Though I only collect certain things. I've just been collecting them for a long time. I also torrent them from time to time, like the Momoyama Jirou mega torrent and the CocoaSoft stuff.
